I first saw this word in SBS’s Official Website for the drama Scent Of A Woman. I was doing a guide for non-Korean speaker fans on how they can navigate the website. I looked for it in the dictionary and I wasn’t able to find it. I googled it and found a very nice explanation by TTMIK.
For 8 weekends now (including this weekend), I’ve been 본방사수-ing Scent Of A Woman. I just feel bad that it came on my busiest semester ever, thus I wasn’t able to blog all about my watching experience.
In a nutshell, this drama made me crazy! It’s a given that I love any Kim Sun Ah drama, but this one is simply an exemption! It makes me happy, it makes me sad, it makes me excited, it makes me depressed, it makes me think… it was indeed a roller coaster ride.
I wish I could put into words what I feel towards this drama… but I guess I just can’t. 😦
Tonight would be my last 본방사수. It makes me feel sad. It makes me feel empty. I can’t believe that next weekend I won’t have a drama to 본방사수. The last time I 본방사수 was 2009 – City Hall. I don’t 본방사수 dramas that are not Kim Sun Ah’s. I simply don’t have enough interest and patience.
본방사수 is difficult. You have to endure waiting for 5 days to know what’s going to happen. You have to listen well since there’s no subs. You don’t have the luxury of rewinding it. And you’ll get used to it.
I’m afraid tonight. Both what could be the story’s ending and the fact that next weekend there won’t be any Scent Of A Woman anymore.
