As if school wont start few days from now… after my disappointment with 9 Ends 2 Outs, I started a another drama – Dr. Champ.
It wasn’t on my to-watch list, but because the writer (Noh Ji-Sul) and director (Park Hyung-Gi) will be the same team behind Kim Sun-Ah‘s new drama Scent of a Woman, I wanna get to know them better. 🙂 I always do that. ㅎㅎㅎ
I don’t have very strong feelings about this drama yet. But I’m kinda liking the fact that this is a medical drama – for a change. I haven’t seen a Korean medical drama yet but it’s my favorite among American dramas (like E.R. that I love so much; and Grey’s Anatomy, that if only I have much time, I’d love to watch more of it). It also makes me more at ease. Scent of a Woman deals with a terminal disease somehow, and the least that I want is to mishandle that theme. Well, since they (writer-director) have a background with medical drama I guess (and hope!) that they won’t have that ridiculous ‘mis-diagnosis’ stuff on Scent of a Woman (puhlease!!!! pretty please!!!).
I also like the strong predicament early on (the malpractice issue) followed by loads of misfortunes. Murphy’s Law at its finest! And I’m loving it because I often had my share of Murphy’s Law (anything that can go wrong will go wrong) once in a while too.
And what I love the most is the cinematography!!! I love the camera and the texture! Oh god! I literally have to double check that it was a drama that I was watching and not a movie. I can’t wait for Kim Sun-Ah to be filmed by the same camera. I hope they’ll get the same cinematographer!!!
I hope I can finish this drama before school starts! And 49 Days too! 🙂
